Suzan DelBene won the election for Congress in Washington's first district fair and square, apparently, with the savvy of a Millionairess who had the expendable money to pretty much buy the office, but that doesn't mean she should be crowned Queen of the First District. She has the office for two years and Darcy Burner should run again in 2014. That year, the primary would probably be less crowded, and Burner would have an opportunity to face her one on one, as far as that has any meaning in a de facto multi-party "Top 2" primary. Watch DelBene's votes and actions in Congress like a hawk, Darcy, and don't let her run unchallenged for the next "Democratic" nomination or she'll think she owns the seat after then. If she wins in '14, though, her seat will never be relinquished to another Democrat for years until she's good and ready to resign. More than likely, the window of opportunity for Darcy, this year's People's candidate, is open for just two more years. Go through it, Darcy. Keep campaigning while DelBene sits in D.C.
